Scinai Strikes Development, Clinical Manufacturing Deal with US Biopharma Company

The agreement expands a previously disclosed customer engagement and includes more than $5 million in committed base service fees.

Editor’s Take: Services such as integrated CMC development and clinical manufacturing will help advance an investigational oncology product.

Scinai Biopharma Services, a Scinai Immunotherapeutics subsidiary, reached a development and clinical manufacturing agreement with a United States-based biopharmaceutical company.

The parent Scinai company has been growing its CDMO operation alongside an immunology-focused therapeutic development platform.

Scinai Expands Pre-Existing Pact

This new agreement expands a previously disclosed customer engagement, including approximately $5.1 million in committed base service fees. Among said services: integrated chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) development and clinical manufacturing for an investigational oncology product.

More specifically, the services include process and analytical development, manufacturing readiness, and Investigational New Drug (IND)-enabling activities. Additionally, Scinai plans to offer not only a clinical manufacturing program, but also stability testing and a prefilled syringe presentation.

“This agreement materially expands our contracted CDMO business,” Scinai CEO Amir Reichman said. “[It] supports our strategy of delivering high-quality, bespoke CDMO services to international customers.”

Clinical Manufacturing Program Begins in New Year

Reichman added the greater visibility into 2027’s manufacturing workload combines with development and IND-enabling activities already underway in 2026. This, the CEO explains, is set to culminate in a clinical manufacturing program beginning in January 2027.

“Our priority is to translate these commitments into revenue, increased facility utilization, and stronger operating performance,” Reichman said. “The potential for additional clinical supply and, ultimately, commercial manufacturing illustrates how these customer relationships can develop over time.”

Under the agreement terms, potential additional clinical manufacturing may have a combined indicative, uncommitted service-fee value of $5.85 million. Activities are planned primarily for late 2027 into the first half of 2028. However, such activities remain subject to final scope and pricing, available manufacturing capacity, and the customer’s development and regulatory progress.
